## Key facts
- Every Pty Ltd company and close corporation must file a beneficial ownership declaration with CIPC. It has been required since May 2023.
- Since July 2024, CIPC only accepts the annual return when the beneficial ownership declaration is up to date.
- Service scope: companies owned by people (not trusts or other companies), up to ten directors or members. The R1 million yearly sales limit applies only to orders that include the annual return.
- How it works: answer guided questions online, upload the CIPC registration certificate (CoR14.3), pay through PayFast. A person checks the details and files through CIPC.
- Administrative filing assistance only; not legal, tax or accounting advice.
